We want to be in one million ways during our lifetime.
We have lots of ideas about how we should act on the stage of our own lives ... and we also care too much about the way people expect us to be.
But the funny thing is that when we look at the list with how we should be ... we don’t find ... “just be yourself”.
And what that actually means?!
Well ... that means that we should only care about what we really want in life and be authentic in everything we do, without really caring about other’s opinions ... not even the ones of friends, brothers, sisters, spouses ... and not even parents.
I know we sometimes spent a long time with them ... and the influences on both sides exist, but should we care about that so much?!
Well ... in one point, after an age we will spend a lot of time with the spouse ... and the problem will be that little by little we lose ourselves.
We start acting in a way ... so that we please the partner,
ignoring that in fact we betrayal our inner self by becoming someone that we don’t really want to be.
Some ... smarter... act in a certain way at home and when they leave the house .... are becoming the way they really want to be.
The ones that are introverts ... they probably do the opposite .... they try to please all the people from their lives and at home ... sometimes they have the courage to be .... that person they want to be.
So ... in fact we carry all types of masks and we actually have just short periods when we act in the way we’d love to act.
But ... now i wonder myself ... why is this happening and we are not letting be ourselves all the time?!
And i have the power to understand that we can’t fight with everyone around and that not everybody is dominating the environment where is usually staying ... but at least, with the person we love, we should ... be ourselves ... otherwise ... ?!
But ... real facts are real facts ... and the situation is the way it is.
On the other hand, hiding ourselves forever should be a real silly thing to do continuing life in such a way.
So ... maybe ... we should explore, analyze and better define the concept of soul mate.
Then ... just redefine the way you act, cause life is short and should be silly to not let us the freedom to be the real ... us ... the one we feel inside of the soul.
